We recently completed the renovation of our home in Beecroft with Tony…

and his team from Boronia Building. It was quite an extensive renovation and we are extremely pleased with the result. The one thing that strikes you about Tony is the passion he has for what he does. He treated our renovation as if it was his own wanting to make sure it was of the highest quality. There was no compromise on the methods of construction and there were no shortcuts taken. Tony genuinely cares about the final product, we never felt that this was just another job. We worked very closely with Tony right through the build and he provided valuable advice on the many decisions we had to make including challenging us at times where he thought we might compromise the final outcome. The other striking thing about Tony as compared to other builders we have dealt with in the past was that he always made himself available to talk either over the phone or onsite, often several times a day. He was always very professional to deal with.
The high quality expectations and attention to detail that Tony has is also evident in the team of tradesman that he uses. They are very professional, highly skilled and personable and he holds them to a very high standard.
We have received many compliments on our home and we would have no hesitation in recommending Tony and his team for any new build or renovation.

Tony and his Boronia team were fantastic right through the project…

from the initial design discussions of renovation through to job completion. So much so, we are now talking to Tony about the next project.
The Boronia building team were professional, reliable and their finished work – first class.

My wife and I would like to thank Boronia building for our recent renovation in Epping. …

We used Boronia building after doing extensive research with a number of builders
We have a 100 year old house that we wanted to keep the older federation look but renovate the inside to fit in with a more current open plan family living lifestyle.
The renovation included removal and replacement of the tiled roof, an upstairs extension with 3 bedrooms, bathrooms and sitting area, a complete renovation down stairs with new floor, walls and extension out the back, a store room down stairs below the main floor area, and a tandem carport
Tony and his team did a fantastic job, from the moment of going through the contract to moving back into our house we were delighted with his professionalism and attention to detail , having good communication with the builder and trades is important, and we never had any issues, tony even suggested ways to save money but still keep with brief, having on site meetings with tony and the trades always seemed easy, and The worksite was always kept clean. The whole building was completed on time in 8 months which was outstanding for the amount of work done, neighbours have also commented on such a good build and how quick and efficient it was done, we often get people walking down the street complimenting us with such a good job,
I have no hesitation in recommending Boronia building for a quality renovation , well done Tony.

There was never any doubt that 158A Copeland Rd East, Beecroft…

was going to attract strong interest from buyers on auction day.
The masterbuilt home was of full-brick construction, a highly expensive undertaking that is becoming unusual in new homes.
Sensational finishes included automated curtains in a formal lounge with a 6m ceiling and windows almost as high.
However, no one expected a sale price of $3.82 million, a record for a Beecroft property sold at auction and well in excess of a guide of $3.25-$3.5 million.
“We didn’t see that price coming” said agent Wayne Vaughan from McGrath Epping.
Mr Vaughan said 150 groups inspected the property during the marketing campaign.
Six parties registered to bid on the five-bedroom three-bathroom home built last year by local builder Tony Laguzza.
“A battle of three became a battle of two,” Mr Vaughan said.
He said the exceptional result proved there was a demand for a high quality product.
“Buyers will pay for a quality property in a quality location.”
The new owners are a family from “within the northern district”.

We contacted Boronia building after observing another house…

… in our area being built. The worksite was tidy and the house was completed quickly. Tony LaGuzza spoke to us about our plans and we were very confident he understood our aims for a fairly challenging series of alterations to our 1960s house.
The building process met and often exceeded our expectations. Tony was on site most days and personally undertook much of the work. On busy days with multiple trades on site, Tony would take a very hands on role to make sure everything was done in the right order. I could see he was looking ahead and resolving issues before they became unnecessarily complex or could lead to a compromised result. This showed up in two very important ways. The job was completed on time and for slightly less than estimated. After talking with friends who have been involved in building projects, this seems rare! Perhaps the main reason was Tony’s approach to managing his team. All his contractors were very personable, efficient, skilled and organised.
Tony did more than we asked or expected in helping to contribute to a very successful outcome. We not only have a beautiful house but also a renewed respect for what a quality builder can do. I am very happy to unconditionally recommend Tony LaGuzza and Boronia Building to anyone considering a building or renovation project.

I contracted with Boronia Building in 2006 to renovate…

…numbers 1 and 3 Wongala Crescent Beecroft. The works required partial demolition, renovation, reconstruction and landscaping. I was unable to be present on site during all works.
Mr Tony Laguzza, sole director of Boronia Building, liaised directly with myself, my architects and engineers, various state officials, councils, including council heritage committee, to achieve progress of the works and a successful completion.
Mr Laguzza selected and supervised all subcontractors. He cooperated and assisted the incoming tenants to facilitate their proposed fit outs. Invoices were presented monthly clearly representing work done. Mr Laguzza had empathy for the heritage character of the building and the building was presented in a condition ready for tenants to occupy immediately.

My husband and I are very happy to recommend Boronia Building…

…Upon moving in, many people have asked us what we would change about the house in hindsight – we are pleased to say that we would not change anything and much of that is due to the attention to detail that Tony and Boronia Building’s subcontractors showed when renovating our property.  Thanks Tony for being patient (including for the times when we asked for a further quote on some trades), approachable and available when we needed to discuss various issues that arose.  Your professionalism and expertise helped achieve a result which was beyond our expectations – in particular your advice on the changes we made to the back alfresco area were invaluable.

Best wishes to you and your family and thanks again for all of your hard work on our beautiful property.
Yours sincerely

Thank you Tony for all your help with this project…

Tony assisted us right from the beginning with the design phase through to the actual construction of our home. Tony’s years of experience in the building industry were invaluable. We were very happy at how smoothly everything went. All trades were very good and Tony’s eye for details and flexibility assisted greatly. We would be happy to recommend Tony and his team to anyone.

We used Boronia Building to do a bathroom renovation…

including moving some rooms around and changing the layout of our master bedroom. We would highly recommend Boronia building as a quality builder – highlights for us include:
- Design feedback – Tony helped us work out the best layout for the bathroom in a format we wouldn’t have thought of.
- Attention to detail – The work carried out was always to a high standard and the team thought through small details that made all the difference to the final product such as the cornices and ceiling heights.
- Engagement – Tony was always available to discuss changes/queries both on the phone and in person.
Overall we are really happy with the outcome and would use them again without a doubt.

As an architect with over 50 years in the industry …

I know how critical it is to use a reliable, competent professional builder, particularly in residential work where it may be the only time that you work together. You have to place your trust in their ability both to produce quality workmanship, on time and at an acceptable cost and look after your best interests in the process. I was fortunate to employ Tony on a modest verandah extension to my house in Cheltenham. He only works locally so had built up a devoted following of satisfied customers and came highly recommended. Whilst my project might have been modest in area, it was full of the usual complexities that architects are so fond of. Tony dealt with these in his stride and made several suggestions as to how the design might be improved for a reduced cost–for which I took the credit of course. Tony’s team of subbies are all cloned in his image: highly competent, endlessly pleasant and co-operative –which made for a reliable workforce and an enjoyable job. I count myself fortunate to have had such a competent and pleasant team working on my side and I am happy to join Tony’s band of satisfied customers.
